Course Information

Class ID: ASA002 | Duration: 8 Hours | Cost: $62.00 and a Money Order for $72.00 made out to AZ DPS for the license.

The AZ Department of Public Safety requires all Security Guards be licensed in the State of Arizona and go through 8 hours training.

Disqualifiers

• If your under 18 years of age.
• If you are not a citizen or legal resident who is authorized to seek employment in the United States.
• If you have ever been convicted of a felony, whether or not your conviction was set aside and your Civil Rights were restored.
• If you are currently under indictment for a felony.
• If within the last 5 years preceding your application, you have been convicted of any misdemeanors involving:
  • Personal Violence
  • Misconduct involving a deadly weapon
  • Dishonesty or Fraud
  • Arson
  • Theft
  • Domestic Violence
  • Narcotics
  • Sexual Misconduct.
• If you are on parole, community supervision or work furlough, on home arrest, on release on any other basis.
• If you are named in an outstanding arrest warrant
• If you have been adjudicated mentally incompetent or found to constitute a danger to self or others.
• If you have a disability, which renders you incapable of performing essential functions of the job.
• If you have been convicted of acting or attempting to act as a security guard or private investigator without a license if a license is required.
• If you were discharged from the armed services of the U.S. under other than honorable conditions.

You must posses an unarmed guard card to qualify for the Armed Guard Card. The Armed Guard card is agency specific so your security company you work for has to approve you for the training and send you through the classes.

This class will teach you how to deal with fellow Officers, evaluate them, mentor them and how to provide your company with the reports they need to documentation for employee files regarding evaluations and counseling sessions.

This class will provide you with certification in the areas of First Aide, CPR, and AED training. The certification is good for 1 year.

This training program 40 intensive hours of instruction, with a minimum of theory and an emphasis on practical hands-on teaching and exercises. You will participate in learning sophisticated, innovative skills and techniques pertaining to personal performance on protective assignments.

Scenario-Based Training:

Different assault scenarios are played out and you will be shown several moves to get you away from the attacker. After class there will be Mace and Taser products available for sale.

During this session we will define workplace violence, identify threats, cover factures of workplace violence, cover warning signs, and offer a plan for if it was to happen.

Class ID: ASA010 | Duration: 72 Hours | Cost: $1,450.00

This advanced Security Training gives the security officer the tools he needs to do his job in a professional manner. This course goes over legal laws, fire arms training, First Aide/CPR/AED certification, Executive Protection, Self Defense and much more. The classes run every other Saturday from 8am-2pm except for fire arms that is 8am-4pm on a Saturday and Sunday. Once you complete this course you will receive a diploma at graduation.

Class ID: ASA011 | Duration: 8 Hours | Cost: $125.00

This 8 hour AZ CCW Course is required for your Arizona concealed Carry Permit which is issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. A handgun with a min. of 100 rounds of ammunitions is required for this course. The requirement to obtain your AZ CCW Permit are that you are 21 years of age, a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident alien, and have no felony convictions, no domestic dispute convictions and are free of any mental disorders.

This program is a defensive driving program through the Arizona Safety Association. Once you get your certificate at the end of the day you can submit that to your insurance for a possible rate cut. This is also great for security companies to send there employees through that are in the position of operating company vehicles.

Learn to use Taser and Mace in a class room setting. These products will be available for purchase at the end of the class. To activate your Taser once you buy it there is a background check that is done before your Taser is activated.

This program is used to train teams for rapid response to client’s needs rather it be a workplace violence, riot, or emergency situation. Security companies could send there teams to this class and we will adapt the training to the companies policy and procedures and giving there Officers training on real life situations and how to work together as a team.
